Integral Appoints President and Chief Executive Officer
MORGANTOWN, W.Va., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Integral Technologies, Inc. (ITI) (OTC Bulletin Board: ITKG - news), today announces the appointment of Mr. Mark Williams to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the company effective January 1, 1998. Mr. Williams will continue in his duties as Vice-President - Marketing and Sales for the Antenna Division of ITI. (Please refer to the press release dated November 3, 1997.) At this time Mr. Williams also becomes a member of the Board of Directors.
Through its subsidiary Emergent Technologies Corp. (ETC), Integral Technologies, Inc. holds an exclusive license from West Virginia University on all worldwide government and military applications of the Contrawound Toroidal Helical Antenna (''CTHA''), a new, patented antenna technology with broad applicability in the mobile wireless communications industry.
Mr. Williams's initial task at Integral was the completion of a comprehensive market study and the design of a marketing plan for the CTHA. Through his efforts and the team at Evergreen Wireless Inc. (of which Mr. Williams is a Director) this marketing plan has now been completed and the implementation of such has already begun and will begin to take full force in the first quarter of 1998.
''The wireless communications industry is growing very rapidly. At present, antenna factory shipments total something over $2 billion per year. Within four years that figure could triple. We believe the CTHA technology is applicable to approximately 80% of that total market and represents a very attractive design alternative for our OEM customers from both a technical and economic perspective,'' says Williams.
Mr. Williams has made a significant impact on the company since joining Integral by escalating the commercialization process of the CTHA. Through his contacts and reputation in the telecommunications industry he has secured orders for immediate delivery of prototypes for the purposes of testing, with several major OEM companies in the telecommunications industry. As evidence of their sincere interest in the CTHA these companies have entered into non-disclosure agreements with Integral. These companies require new antennae with performance capabilities that can only be met with the CTHA.
Mr. Bill Robinson, the President of Integral since its inception, will assume the position of Chairman of the company focusing his efforts on securing financing for the company, public relations and investor relations.

As a former International Product Manager/Consultant with Lucent Technologies Inc. [NYSE:LU - news], Mr. Williams brings years of successful experience in the wireless telecommunications industry. In his position with Lucent he developed markets, made proposals, and negotiated with customers and governments on four continents, resulting in the implementation of Lucent's wireless products into the telecommunication infrastructures of various countries.
