PC Sector RoundTable Memorandum I Here I hope to begin an enlightened dialogue about the personal computing industry. I find the "industry" threads often to be the most informative. No company exists in a vacuum-all firms have suppliers, customers, and competitors; no company can be truly understood without deep understanding of each of these. That understanding in turn creates a "sector" awareness which allows us to see what's going on in the forest as well as what's happening to the trees. For investors, this "forest-scale" knowledge is often more valuable than "tree-scale" knowledge.
