Kaiser, sorry I'm not a biotech expert but I do have a couple of questions...

According to a recent news release, clinical trials of MRSA (methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus) test were a success and IDBEF will file for FDA approval in February. From the press release, MRSA is a common cause of infection in hospital patients and the faster it can be diagnosed, the better. This new test cuts the diagnosis time from 1 to 2 days after the initial 24 hour culture to 90 minutes.

I got this information from IDBEF's website:

204.174.26.54

What's not available there is information about competition for this
market. Do you (or anyone) have information about other tests being developed that will compete with this one?

Do you know if this test will also identify regular staphylococcus aureus or is it only specific for the methicillin resistant bug?

Thanks
