First off - I keep running into problems if I am trying to sell a stock on an American stock exchange, that I bought on the TSE. Greenline provides one piece of information, which is contradicted by other sources.
Any experiences similar to this one?

SEVEN SEAS - I bought some stock on the TSE ( symbol SVS.U).
I tried to sell it on AMERICAN ( symbol SEV). I got an error message from Greenline - #92003 (= a record could not be found).
Previous message about 2 months ago was - <K> , meaning
your stock order was declined.
Greenline says, if a stock is inter-listed, you MUST trade it on the TSE, unless you can phone in and show that there is a clear price advantage to an American trade. Pretty difficult where you are looking at market makers, say, on the NASDAQ versus the Bloor Street houses on the TSE.
In the instance of this stock, there is rarely any trading volume on the TSE - so this ruling converts a liquid investment into perhaps, an illiquid one. Don.
