So here is where I stand after today's trading session: My real world portfolio stands at 58k, while the fake trader-portfolio (which I had run up to 70k which was all cash over the weekend) now contains the following:
1000 CEPH, cost $16 1/4, $16,250 1000 CORR, cost $15, $15,000 5000 MAGN, cost $2, $10,000, that leaves about 29k to spend.
As you can see, still biotech, what can I say, I don't really follow anything else these days. The first two picks are from BBRS, and I follow them a to some degree, I know a bit about Provigil and sounds like it could be a blockbuster someday for just plain old sleepiness, jetlag etc--I'm a shiftworker so this one caught me eye.
The MAGN is my own pick after listening to vcall over the weekend, I have that one in the real portfolio as well, along with a bunch of other nanocap biotechs, which lately are frustrating me.
Would love to see somebody paper trade the I-nuts, feel free to start with 70k like I have here.
Oh, and not important to post real time, it is a good idea, but since this is just on paper, I don't think it is really all that important. If you trade something that is thinly traded, you might inflate the price a bit--I did that with MAGN just to be fair, and to start with a nice round number.
Regarding CORR, McCamant made it into Businessweek with this one, see page 171 of the 6/14/99 issue... |
