ABB single share paves way for full US listing; Acquisitions

ABB Ltd's new shares began trading on the Swiss, London, Frankfurt, and Stockholm Exchanges. CEO Goran Lindahl said, "The introduction of the single share is also an important step in preparing for a full U.S. stock exchange listing." Lindahl also said the simpler share structure will make it easier for ABB to acquire other companies. He said ABB might be interested in companies in the power distribution, deep-sea technology, and electrical products (light switches and air conditioning) industries.
