As a surgeon, the problem with these superbugs as you call them is huge. They occur in hospitals where the antibiotics are used and regular bacteria are transformed into resistant ones. I'm unable to give you any ideas of the efficacy of Phage Therapeutics approach, but if efficacious there would be a huge market.The two most common resistant bacteria are MRSA and VRE, Methicillin resistant Staph aureus and Vancomycin resistant staph Epi. Every hospital would have to carry some in their pharmacy in order to treat any out breaks, etc.
