An excellent idea. There is a lot of discussion on almost every stock thread about the FR and inflation and Greenspan. It think it is not too much to ask that people who post here should understand the fundamentals of the subject, maybe well beyond the Econ 101 level. I would suggest the required minimum knowledge is a few hours spent on the Federal Reserve website:
