Dear Silicon Investor Members:
I know you like it when I'm brief, so I am writing with just a quick update on a few
things that are happening here on Silicon Investor.
NetStock Direct
Hundreds of companies now allow you to purchase stock directly from the company
via Direct Stock Purchase Plans - a popular and rapidly growing method of long-term
stock investing.
In partnership with NetStock Direct, Silicon Investor now provides access to the latest
DSPP (and DRIP) information on the Web. To learn more out about a specific
company's direct stock purchase plan, click on the DSP/DRIP link when viewing stock
data or messages for a particular company.
Classic SI Format
We've made some final additions and modifications to the Classic SI Customization
Option, and we'll be rolling those changes out this week. We expect to turn off the old
SI site within the next few days, so please make sure you migrate your portfolio to the
new SI as quickly as possible.
I'd like to specifically mention two items regarding the Classic SI format. First, we will
be adding a Carlson Online link to the message pages of Canadian stock threads. The
link will be found in the quote box at the bottom of message page. If you have a
Canadian thread (or any thread, for that matter) that needs a quote attached to the
message pages, please send a private message to SI Admin (Bob)

Second, as mentioned previously, since the Clubhouses are served from a separate
database, we can leave the old Clubhouses running until we have a suitable
replacement. Since there are only about 30 Clubhouses, we have created an
alphabetical listing on the following SI Clubhouse Table of Contents page:
siliconinvestor.com Clubhouses will have
exactly the same functionality as they did on the old site.
Fundamental mutual fund research - by Morningstar
Silicon Investor is proud to announce a new relationship with Morningstar, the leading
provider of mutual fund research, information, and analysis. In addition to quotes,
charts, and historical prices already provided by SI, you can now get detailed
information on any mutual fund regarding risk, return, a description of the fund and
much more.
Last, but certainly not least, as you may have noticed, we also announced a new
strategic relationship with National Discount Brokers, in which we will be integrating
brokerage transaction capabilities directly into SI. You can check out the press release
