Yes, I got pasted with this one. Very nasty.

I was suspicious enough to disconnect my 'net connection before I opened the attachment. I patiently watched it auto-compose some ~300 e-mail messages (while I was offline) and then I deleted them.

HOWEVER!
Some other behaviors I've noted:

1. It overwrites all the JPEGS it can find with an 11KB .vbs file. I had to delete more than a thousand from my PC. I was able to backup my images from may Jaz drive successfully.

2. It appears to have overwritten my c:\win32dll file and my mskernel32 file. For some reason those were *not* on my Jaz backup (I'm unclear why, since it's a full backup -- perhaps having to do with the system-file nature of these two? I defer to experts). I am now on hold with Dell trying to locate those two files from the recovery CDs so I can restore those. Until then, I'm afraid to reboot my machine for fear it won't restart! Anybody have a deep link to an MS site where I can get those two?

3. It seems to replace your IE start page with some other site with an incredibly long gobbldeygook URL. Not surprisingly, that doesn't load, since half the world is probably hitting it.

BEWARE!
