TLC--I fear I have made my ten year old nephew a sumo freak.
He was over visiting me one day and we watched an hour of sumo. He was uncanny, could always pick the winner. I of course was left with the other one. He was picking Akebono right from the start. "I want the fat guy." Right up to the end when he suddenly picked a much smaller wrestler to win. "The fat guy is going to lose now."
So now we get together at his house during scheduled sumo matches. He will phone me to tell me a match is on if I have missed it.
Akebono is indeed a Yokozuna, a lifetime achievement. All other sumo rankings are subject to the wrestlers performance in matches and a wrestler can be raised or demoted on how he does. Akebono normally faces wrestlers much lighter than he is. On occasion when he does face a wrestler of near equal size it resembles two huge flabby bulls smashing into each other.
All the Best
