Gary, Cisco's crown jewels are in its software, IOS. I believe Cisco's next big push is to embed the IOS further into the infrastructure. This means broadband internetworking, such as ADSL and other DSL technologies, and even cable modems (but more likely headend equipment, first). Sourcecom is a likely candidate. They may not even be around long enough to go public. Sourcecom already has a marketing agreement with Amati, so the writing is on the wall, as far as I'm concerned.
