Are there too many lawyers already? Just open the yellow pages for any decent-sized city in the USA and there are seemingly reams of lawyer ads. Where do all of the law school grads find work? Seems like supply has more than satisfied demand.

Yet, look at the employment statistics for most decent law schools and at least 2/3 of the graduating class have jobs by graduation. In fact, at many schools 80-90% or more is the norm. Virtually the entire class is employed 6-9 months out, presumably in the legal profession. =:-}

So, it seems that there is an ongoing sustainable demand for lawyers. The current weak economy aside, does this match what recent law school grad's are seeing? I'd love to know.

Thanks,

-John
