Noesis, Inc. Gains Contract to Provide and Install Photoluminescent Emergency Exit Signage Materials for the Pentagon Renovation Program

ARLINGTON, VA ¡V April 5, 2002. Noesis, Inc., headquartered in Manassas, VA, with technical offices in Arlington, VA, Annapolis, MD, Newport, RI, and Dover, NH, received a contract from the Pentagon Renovation Program today to provide and install a superior photoluminescent material, known as LUNAplast„·. The initial contract, with a value of $82,000, represents the first phase of an estimated $11 million effort over five years.

This advanced material recently completed a successful demonstration project wherein it proved an enhanced ability to provide Pentagon military and civilian personnel with no-fail emergency signage, way-finding and lighting when no electricity is availableunder conditions of loss of electrical power and/or reduced visibility due to smoke. Noesis, Inc. is the exclusive provider of LUNAplast„· LUNAplast products to the federal government. The superior Strontium Aluminate (SrAl) chemistry of LUNAplast„· LUNAplast will endure and clearly show emergency exits and guide rescue personnel safely to wherever help is neededout performs the older Zinc Sulfide (ZnS) chemistry both in terms of brightness and persistence. Current Zinc Sulfide (And, ZnS) photoluminescence devices products have a service life of only 3 years, compared to an unlimited service life for LUNAplast„· products.

LUNAplast„· products are provided to Noesis, Inc. by Luna Technologies, Inc. of Seattle, Washington and Coquitlam, British Columbia. A HUBZone subcontractor, Sabio, LLC, of South Boston, Virginia, will install this advanced material in the Pentagon.
