Yup. Companies are buying their product to manage all the HR (Personnel) related data they are now flooded with. Think about it. You can change your benefits info in a heartbeat, you are adding/outplacing people left and right, you have 57 varieties of employee and contractor status, and so on. Most telling is the trend to reduce the number of Personnel folks as a staff reduction. When that happens and the remaining ones handle the more strategic tasks, there's a real advantage to putting in a Peoplesoft system. Their booth was probably the hottest at the recent HR Mgmt. Systems trade-shows.
