Apparently, SEC investigation was not conclusive enough to lead to indictments, but abandonment of the concept could have been of sufficient import to trigger same, as at least a tacit admission that only hot air, lies and deception was supporting the stock.
This was a particularily bold scam, reaching out internationally, and even running a fake demo on the steps of congress in Washington, sponsered by a hack congressman, since defeated.
Made a few multimillionaires back in 2000, stock ran up from a few cents to over 5 bucks in Feb 2000. But a heap of people lost lots of money. They believed the hype. and hung on, some even adding shares to 'average down' as the shares fell back to under a nickel..
New CEO did his job well, Statutes of limitations are running out, but so far of zero value to the loyal longs, who have, despite being skinned,have gamely hung on as sort of a Cult of The Long.
An old story, endlessly repeated on the Pink and OTCBB stocks, and more recently the Gray market stocks. This one has been on all three markets as one symbol or another, most recently CEXI.
Valimed itself has limited use, and could sell a few copies to medical organizations.
