quick thought.....

i do not know if in your considerations for therapy you would include sports in the context of giving confidence to an individual, (or team, depending on the sport in question), with the objective to achieve winning performances....

i know that a winning 'attitude' is tremendously important in one's performance as competitor...

an example today:

Spain plays the Netherlands for the World Cup. SPain has always been considered a prime 'overdue' candidate to win, yet, this is the first time that Spain has a very realistic chance of winning it... after a history of never even reaching the semifinals (in spite that at the club level and the individual players being some of the best in the world always)... people believe that they have had a 'mental block' and indeed today such block may play against them...

as for the Dutch... they have never won the cup either.... however, they have been in the final twice, ('74 & '78) and lost against respective hosts, Germany and Argentina)...

so now, they have the same chance as Spain and both want the cup BADLY....

i am CERTAIN that the psychology going in and during the game will be ALL important.... (in addition to the obvious skill that one needs to play this game....

anyway... going off to watch the final at a friend's home....
