They introduced a technologically far superior ultrasound machine in late april early may and went on a road show. The machine has been covered in scientific american. It can show blood flowing or more interesting, not flowing through the arterioles of the heart, for example. No other ultrasound machine can come close. They have a many year headstart. .... sooooo .... on that story, the price went up... but as part of their announcement, the also said they will take a loss this and next qtr. So the up and down swing. Stock is up ~50% this year. They should start re-dominating the ultrasound market over next yr or so, with machines at a price premium: as much as 400k each. Their p/e is high now, but should come down. I think there is real upside.
