I personally believe the emphasis in tech stocks shifting to the
internet is largely unjustified. I think the net is great, but to dismiss Wintel
because of the net is ridiculous. It is topsy turvey when the profitable companies
are going down and speculative ones fly higher daily.

PC Lite is an enigma to me. They say if you need an application you can download it, but that is TOO SLOW!!
How do they solve that? It isn't the processor that's slow, it is the phone lines. What does it do? E-mail? Browse the web?
Why not use Intel? A 386 would be perfect. If they plan to "give away the box" as one analyst I heard suggested, who makes the money?
Netscape gives away its browser.

It is even stranger that the PC did away with the dumb terminal, that is
what the computer revolution is all about!! And now people are saying
the next best idea is to BRING IT BACK???

WHY?

I see PC Lite as the next Newton. It is just a matter of time before we
see the emperors new clothes.
