Well it's about time! I've wanted to start this thread for about a month, but never got around to it.
This will be the hottest stock in no time. CORBA is about to take off. Now Netscape, Sun, and yesterday Oracle, all back the standard, in addition to hundreds of others. The CORBA infrastructure, combined with Java, is about the only thing that will defeat Microsoft in the application development arena. It's not battle of the browser that matters - it's the battle for the Internet application development platform! The company that owns the developers, owns the industry.
Microsoft finally gave ActiveX to an outside agency, but appointed all of its members. CORBA is gaining momentum, DCOM is having problems. It should be interesting...
It's too bad Iona isn't public. That would be a hot stock too...
