Borneo Gold has received signed letters from the Ministry of Mines and Energy indicating that Indonesia's President Suharto has approved the company's 7th generation contracts of work. The date for the signing of the contracts is expected to be in the third week of February 1998. Included in the company's contracts receiving approval is the highly prospective Bunut CoW area in West Kalimantan. The company has a 90% interest in this 186 square kilometre area. Since August of 1996 the company has conducted preliminary exploration on this area under a temporary work SIPP licence. The company expects to release further information on this preliminary exploration work shortly.
