Here is a remark about CREAf selling their new Voodoo2 board.
Allways a good thing when a company is selling a product as
fast as they can deliver. Shortage of parts is very common
in this industry, so that shouldn't worry anyone.

Selling like hotcakes...

Creative Labs Marketing manager stated the following on 3dfx newsgroup:

Shipping volumes, of course, are closely-held company secrets. We have the capacity to build millions of boards per month, but we're constrained by the various parts which go on the board -- memory chips, processors, and so on.

As you're probably aware, demand for this product is much, much higher than the supply. It's been that way since the first day of shipping, it's going to be like that for the foreseeable future, and there's nothing I can do about it.

Sure, I know it's frustrating! As I believe I've mentioned on this
newsgroup before, I've been on a waiting list for a car for seven months, and it wasn't until a few weeks ago that my dealer was even able to place my order with the factory.
