If I may, there is something prejudicial, limitingly anthropic about the fulcra of your two Big Questions. Purpose? Meaning? I see a danger of the terms dictating the allowed set of answers. I can't prove it, but I sense a trap in this. My proposal, and I don't know if it truly escapes the trap of self-reference, is to use a more inclusive concept.
