I fully agree with you. The multiplayer features can be added later on as a free upgrade patch. I also read some information about Spectrum Holobyte laying off personnel and I'm in agreement with their actions. In my opinon, the reasoning behind it is sound. The only reason why they bought Microprose was for their game development team (programmers, artists, game designers, etc.). The staff that they are laying off are technical support, marketing and other such such non-essential staff. The reason why I mentioned non-essential is that Spectrum Holobyte already has the staff that they are laying off from Microprose. It makes sense, why pay for a seperate team of marketing and tech support when you already have one.
