Obviously no one is following IPG anymore. AFter the telecom implosion they shifted to high power lasers. Their main market is now fiber lasers for industrial applications (cutting, welding). I work with several IPG lasers in the defense sector. They have recently gone public, are growing strongly, and are head and shoulders above the competition in this area. They are vertically integrated, protected by patents, and have a sizable lead in the power, efficiency, and volume compared to others in the industry. I was just checking to see if they had a threat, but I see it is pretty stale. I just thought I'd post this in case anyone still cared. Mike
