John, I hope you enjoyed your swim! Funny thing about Varlen. It's the only company I own that doesn't, somewhere in its data, smack of: "Sell me in the short term!" The market is very short-term oriented. Meanwhile, Varlen sends me beautifully written reports on classy stationary saying here's a 10% dividend, or here's a 1.1 to 1 stock split, or here's another 10% dividend. Not slick, no hype, just good and solid fundamentals and a definite touch of class. Varlen feels like a good old-fashioned investment, the kind you use to supplement the failing social security system. Best to you, Caroline p.s.
