Ed, That seems high to me, but possible. A 12,000 well then kicked off and drilled horizontally would be about $4mm onshore in the Delaware Basin. I'm not familiar with downhole problems/well control issues once you get past about 17,000 feet so it is possible. Maybe the turnkey contact included additional services which could have been held up pending prior completion of the well, like cementing, nd buttoning up the well and tying it into a gathering system....
