I don't think that IAUS is claiming 6Mbps over pots. In all of there publications and at the DEMO they say 6Mbps over coaxial and up to 600,000bps over pots.

In any case, I don't understand why you say that you are skeptical about 6Mbps over pots. I've been reading about ADSL and the other xDSL technologies for years now and most of them are capable of in access of 6Mbps over pots. There are companies now in trials with 6Mbps modems. (Aware, Amati, Westell.)

If you are interested, you might want to go to the ADSL FORUM and read the tutorial on copper access transmission technologies.
