Learning about options in costly way.
1. Buy long term while looking for reasonable price- hioghly volatile short term
2. Not as liquid as you'd like. B/A shown not always honored
3. Spreads are costly.
4. Do extensive DD. ie. maybe visit the stores. something my schedule doesn't allow anymore
ANN coming down, but I think more reading of earnings history would have maybe made me think twice before wagering against this past qtr. Mostly was hoping for lower guidance to help drive it down, but they wouldn't do that either.
Now dropping below 38, so should be able to see something out of it, but timing is essential with options due to spreads and volatility. Watched these get cut in half in 2 days. Recovering, but shouldn't have gotten in situation.
edit
4. Institutionally owned stocks are tougher to gauge for me.
