<not sure what the relationship is between relational database and a farmers level of intelligence>

Farmer's intelligence is not relevant to the discussion... this is a matter of incorrect information being either communicated through the sales staff or distributed informally through "rural legend" as it were. Ish was firmly under the mistaken impression that there was only a gene deletion in RR Soybean stock. This is definitely NOT the case as I've shown with documentation from Monsanto themselves. So we have a guy who does this for a living not understanding what the true genetic implications are. That doesn't necessarily reflect badly on him, but it doesn't make it easy for him to be informed about the environmental hazards associated with it.

<virally infected = genetically spliced >

Virally-infected IMO is more accurate because genetically spliced sounds precise, planned and intentional, like the editor's work in a motion picture. Using viruses to insert genetic code is more like a motion picture being hashed in with random elements of the editor's home videos, all chaotically mixed into the sequence of the main film stock, with only a fraction of the attempts being labeled "the movie". But every once in a while in "the movie" a stray image of the editor's kids pops up as a reminder of the blenderization.

Sure "ground-up mixed-source recovered meat from cattle" sounds worse than "hamburger", but if you are interested in public health, it is best not to pussy-foot around the truth using euphemisms.

<i dont think the 1700 documents represent the entire knowledge base of Monsanto's intellectual property>
Oh, it probably only represents those documents that Monsanto wants to share. There are IP issues, to be sure, but still, they haven't been forthcoming.
