My experience in the medical field does not correspond with the implied and stated notions. Given the chance black professionals have excelled (in my personal, subjective experience) in a least the same proportion as their white colleagues.

What I see as a bigger problem is the dilution of professional quality by diploma mills that churn out huge numbers of largely mediocre and overwhelmingly white graduates.

Edit in fact to me in the medical field, affirmative action has not been a problem but rather a boon.
