Law school exams are about "spotting issues", so of course getting all the goodies the prof crammed into his exam is as important as the analysis most of the time. But my profs at least don't reward mere issue spotting. They want to see the reasoning first and foremost, they're testing whether you can "think like a lawyer", which is what I think you mean by style of expression.
