i don't buy closed ends on ipos. stock closed ends usually trade at a discount. some of the dollars you "invested' went to costs of the ipo. so, the net asset value of the securities you bought are less than what you paid. you paid a premium. i pay a discount.

you say, "I think most of their holdings are peferred
stock ". you should know, not think, guess, assume. and if you are buying preferred - you should be able to spell it.
