It was a really cool car. I was never a guy that would race or do crap like that. Just like any American kid I wanted an older, cool set of "wheels." I was glad that Gramps had set me up with the car when I was only 8. I remember the day we went and got it. The interior was clean but it was all dusty and dirty. I thought how can this car be so clean on the inside and look so bad on the outside (no rust but it almost didn't have color). So we called in the hook and had the car dragged over to the service station. From there it went to the polish shop where it took 3 days. So from the day I went to get it until the day I rode my back over to the polish shop was about a week. I couldn't believe what I saw. The car was MINT! The guy at the polish shop said the tires could be replaced as they had some cracks. I wasn't big on the white walls anyhow. SO I drove it back over to the service station and picked out some new SS Sport tires and told them to toss on some cool rims. When my dad came home from work he had a bird because he knew I had just dropped over a grand of his money on tires and rims and had the back end jack up ROFLMAO!! It was the first time I ever heard my dad say f**k. He walked in the house, screamed for me and when we walked outside he said "WHAT THE F**K IS THIS?" LMAO!! I said "I know....they did a really nice job at the polish shop." He wanted to kill me but my response was quick and he started to laugh. He then went on to ask how much I spent. I said...well....I didn't actually spend anything - you did! At that point he was mad as hell but was roaring in laughter - again...my response was quick and he liked that. He said " you realize you're going to pay for this don't you?"

Oh Man....that was a great memory and a funny time. Thats when my dad was younger (51) and hadn't had all the strokes. Those were good times.

Anyhow - he said "so I suppose you want to go show all your friends?" (I had gotten my license 3 days prior) and I said YES!!! He said ok but remember you owe me and I agreed. At that point I backed out and did a neutral drop and laid a huge patch LMAO!!

Great days
