People perceive others as paranoid, often they are better informed and their paranoid behavior is simply prudence in retrospect.

Perhaps, then, it's dementia. Or just a dearth of critical thinking skill.

The following are--here comes the word my circumspect self almost never uses--LIES:

"a section of the House bill mandating that a senior citizen must go to counseling every five years with a government “medical expert” in order to basically learn how to prepare to die"

"comparative effectiveness research, which is generally code for limiting care based on a patient’s age"

Would you like to be required to go to death counseling every five years?

How in the world would they ever implement that?" The notion that they would even try is preposterous.
