It sounds like you have an IRQ conflict on the serial ports that you have the HotSync cradle and modem plugged into. It shouldn't matter unless you try to use both at the same time. When you are using your modem, make sure that the HotSync Manager is not running, AND the Pilot is not in the cradle. When you are using the HotSync cradle to backup the Pilot, make sure the modem is off, or if it's internal, make sure that no programs are trying to talk to it.
If that fails, punt. (Or, call USR technical support, or send them email.) |
