Tench, I don't want to carry this discussion on too long as I fear we have already over done it.

First of all, I answered Tejek when he referred to your "love Intel innovations" post. I was just trying to tweak you slightly. I had no idea about Fuchi's sign-off. When you responded in your second post; I felt that some of your innovations would have been better off not being mentioned. You disagree, but I don't think I got hostile and called you any names etc. I usually like a gentle argument; and I try to keep them reasonable. Has anyone here known me to be unreasonable? I usually go through your points and give my side point by point.

Re....<< 1 GHz is also hardly worth the extra expense, but hey, there are people out there who will pay top dollar for incremental improvements in performance. Why not Rambus?

True but the specs of the system that is being sold in the desktop market should be given; not the specs of a highend server chip using dual imputs, as opposed to i820's one. Also there are certain people here who use those high end server chipset benchmarks to prove PIII is better than Athlon, without mentioning the slower benchmarks of consumer system.

Re.. <Tench, you are the first person I have heard this from. Sharkeys, Anands Ars and Tom all have lambasted the hub architecture and said stick with BX.>

Tench, that is my mistake as I was thinking of Translater
as the hub. I know the difference; my mistake.
