Also we can keep the damage to innocents to a bare minimum. Being the worlds only super power and the main policeman, we have to be powerful enough to be challenged less. Show them up front that when you hear no, you stop or die. Air power is the best way to go. It makes the Special Forces one real powerful force when one guy can get back up from a dozen Tomcats with precision guided weapons almost instantly.
