When I was in the army we had one ambulance with a slipping clutch that wouldn't pull itself in 4th gear. Since it was an off road vehicle army rules said replace the clutch only when it slipped in 3rd gear. That wouldn't do since we ran them on the Autobahn.

I stuck the nose of that vehicle against a brick wall, put it in 4th and let the clutch out. It only took a couple of minutes to get it red hot and SMOKIN. I hauled it back to the shop and they couldn't figure out how it went from a 3 gear clutch to a no gear clutch in one hour. I didn't tell them either.
