These thing change very quick now. I'm living in Leuven, Belgium and we have a very large University here (about 30.000 students). I'm involved in a project to give every student access to broadband internet in there room. These rooms are mainly in private houses spread al over the city.
It's a very big project, but it is executed very fast. By the end of next year, they expect to have about 80 to 85 % of the students connected.

I'm not complaining, it gives me lots of work and income.
