Wiretapping doesn't mean taking the physical server in for examination. There are all kinds of servers. This seems to have been a communications server, designed to handle transmissions to and from other servers. I think an examination of the server would just show when and to whom communications took place, not record the content of the communications. I say that because as it happens this server was also connected to a communications server in MI (Spectrum Health) and THAT server has been analyzed by private parties. Some IT guy wrote a five piece set of stories on this which I think was posted on dailykos. It was indeed shut down Sept 23, the same day the Carter Page story appeared. That shutdown in activity is the most suspicious thing about it. There is an innocent explanation that has been offered up about this server .. that is, that it was a server used to send out Trump Organization marketing spam. Perhaps some execs at the Russian banks and some person(s) at Spectrum Health were on a Trump Org email list and were regularly sent spam. But why shut it down on Sept 23?
