"Rapture" Rapture

To the Contrary had a segment this weekend on the movement of evangelicals toward stewardship of the earth. The dynamics of the panel were interesting.

The conservatives were clearly worried about the movement. They argued that the neo-environmentalist evangelicals had taken that step injudiciously, not realizing what trash they were aligning themselves with, abortionists and gays and the like, and were already regretting their actions. I wish I could remember whom they specifically mentioned. My mind goes to James Dobson, but I'm not sure that's correct.

The liberals, while expressing delight to have the added help, were even more delighted at the opportunity to stick it to Bush.
