Mike - I think that a well documented series of internal memos that document not only this but other projects where the internal development and the public PR were at odds would be pretty convincing. When a company sets internal strategy and deploys resources, that's a real dollar commitment. People tend to distrust PR anyway. I think that would be an easy case to make if the internal documentation is there.
