From 1998 to 2000 - the final bull market blowoff, it ran from 2000 to 5000, yet only a return of 15%

perhaps my calculator is not working properly, but it seems to me that going from 2000 to 5000 is a 150% gain, not 15%. even if you annualize it over 2 1/4 years it is about a 40% geometric gain.
