There are only 2 national newspapers in Canada, the
Grope and Flail and the National Post

I find that because the CRTC was in Liberal Pockets for so long that both papers are simple stooges for the party. Much of Canada's Media ownership is in the hands of Loyal Liberal Party Members, so that no one complains about McGuinty's handling of the Crisis in Caledonia. No one bothered to think about what Paul Martin would have done about an evacuation plan (he would have asked the Americans) And no paper is objectively critical of the Federal Government. I stopped my subscription to the Post, (we share a birthday so it was a
present) when Izzy Asper wrote some Liberal Diatribe or other, and haven't picked up a copy since. I look at the Globe on occasion and read thoroughly the Sun, Star, and the local rag. I also read stuff on the net. Should Canada get a decent Conservative paper, not likely but one never knows, I would buy it and it's competitor again. In the meantime I have ROB TV, and CTV News Net, and CNN and the net to keep me informed.....
