See:http://biz.yahoo.com/oo/020429/73309.html "Analyst: EMC's new storage products could cannibalize others" As in, EMC cannibalizing it's own products Symmetrix/Celerra etc. Ashok Kumar, analyst from US Banc Corp Piper Jaffrey feels that EMC's just announced product like NTAP's "Nearstore" is "too little, too late". Feels that NTAP is emerging as the new storage leader with an intact business model from the downturn, and poised for growth as IT spending turns around. That and 2 cents will get you 2 cents, but it's always nice to hear.
