I have been in quite a few CRTs and have been for some years and these have done great. These too have run up a good bit. I am feeling much more insecure about everything for some time now - not too unusual from what I have been reading. I'm also in several Canadian Income Trusts (not oil and gas) after reading a poster comments, I believe who was on the SJT site, who has been in some of them for years and regarded them as quite stable with good monthly distributions - he's a retiree. He also gave a site where dd could be done and some of which had solid S&P ratings. Some of been quite steady for years with good distributions so I took the plunge and so far have been pleased with them. I have been in mainly foreign stocks, commodities, natural resources, energy stocks (Suncor, BR, SJT), tankers, CRTs and some gold and silver and country CEFs. However, I keep mulling over getting out with my profits, putting my money somewhere for a while, but where? Maybe just let it sit some place for a while. I noted Joan G.'s comments about foreign bonds she holds, so I might explore these more. That's one reason I was interested in BEGBX. I do have PSAFX but the yield is greater in BEGBX. I will look at them further to see the differences. Thanks.
