Before windows there was DOS, and that was endorsed by IBM and so won the day over MACs in the office despite not being so cool. Windows was like the little emperor - doesn't know the job well but was destined to fill it, with time and a lot of coaching can be adequate. Explorer became accepted only after it was free, and also because it introduces convenient non-standard elements in the markup, thus the "IE only" web pages you will find. All of Microsofty's profits of any consequence flow directly and completely from DOS. Although MS Excel may be the exception, and that was developed to its present form on the Macintosh ... Word, also, I think. ----------- The purpose of MS trying to inject a game machine is not to generate revenue for its machines but to further the "MIckeysoft anywhere" agenda of world domination.
