Two things I was advised never to talk about with friends.. religion and politics.. They never led to anything but hard feelings and we have enough of those on the S.I. boards.

Part of my position is that I never feel that I am right or have all the answers even though from my posts it might sound otherwise.

I was reared in a Republican Home where Roosevelt was discussed in derogatory terms. WPA.. whooey... When he died I was gleeful (talk about buying into what parents think ) and my best friend's family thought he was the greatest. She was so angry at me for being glad he died that we didn't speak for a week.

Thus began the awakening. Not everyone thinks the same...(:)

My life in terms of religion and politics has been one of transition. What I believe today I may not tomorrow but as far as politics... I am disenfranchised here too. What a bunch of politic ans we have out there. Most only for themselves and greed before service.

I believe the way I do from experience.. I know that there are supposed to be four or five ways of KNOWING.. Faith, empirical evidence and experience.. There is one that is missing maybe you can review it for me. Experience for me is REAL.

Anyway it's a great idea for a thread.. Maybe someone would volunteer. Maybe it could be co hosted. WE will see.
