John, I'm with Gerald and Gary on this one, probably to their chagrin. I've been extremely skeptical of "convergence" ever since I counted lines of text on a WebTV screen, near when it first came out. At its best, TV viewing is something you can share with other people. Who, exactly, is supposed to want to watch tv in the normal computer position of sitting with your face 2 feet away from the monitor? Who's supposed to want to watch somebody else surfing the web? Most things you do with a PC are solitary. You can have multiplayer games, of course, but they work much better on a per-person screen. Cheers, Dan.
